Why purchase this ¥10 China 2020 30 g Silver Panda?
The rich tradition of the bullion Silver Panda is now in its third decade. The 1 oz bullion coin debuted in 1988. The series made history in 2016 when it became the first to be issued in metric units rather than imperial units. It offers one year only designs that feature images of pandas, the country's national symbol. This coin was struck by the China Mint from 30 g of .999 fine silver.
Featuring Song Lina's Adorable Panda Design
As is tradition, the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests features on the obverse. The building, which is located in the Chinese capital's Temple of Heaven, has stairs leading up to it. A stunning example of traditional Chinese architecture, it is both circular and tiered. A rim frame encircles the building. In it are two inscriptions, "People's Republic of China," which is in Chinese characters at the top, and "2020."
Animal lovers are sure to take to Song Lina's reverse design. A baby panda sits facing the holder while enjoying a snack of bamboo leaves. He nibbles on a few while grabbing more from the tree above. The coin's weight and purity, "30 G AG .999," are inscribed above his head, while its face value is on the left.
Flawless MS70 FS with Custom Panda Label
Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) awarded this coin its highest grade, Mint State 70. That grade is given only to coins that lack even a single imperfection that is visible under 5x magnification. PCGS also certified this piece First Strikes, meaning that it was submitted for grading within a month of its initial mint release. This information comes on a new custom panda label, which features an image of the animal against a stunning mountainous backdrop. The coin and label are housed in a striking red PCGS frame.
