Endearing Panda Design by Song Lina
The obverse of this coin features the same Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests that has appeared on previous editions of the coin. Located in Beijing as part of the Temple of Heaven, the structure rises above an elevated platform. It is a stunning example of the issuing nation's traditional architecture. Inscriptions above and below the image on the rim frame read, "People's Republic of China," which is in Chinese characters, and "2020."
An adorable baby panda sits at the center of the reverse. It faces the holder as it eats bamboo leaves, reaching one paw up to grab more of its favorite food. The coin's face value is noted on the left, while its weight and purity, "100 G AU .999," are inscribed along the rim in the upper right.

The experts at Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) awarded this coin their highest grade, Proof 70, which is reserved exclusively for coins that appear flawless even under 5x magnification. They also certified the piece Ultra Cameo and First Releases. Ultra Cameo means that a coin's deeply mirrored fields contrast sharply with its heavily frosted devices, while First Releases indicates that a coin was submitted for grading no more than 30 days after its initial release from the mint. Designer Song Lina hand signed the label on which this information is provided.
