Why make this flawless 2020 American Silver Eagle bullion coin the next addition to your collection?
The American Silver Eagle series has been an annual product of the U.S. Mint since 1986.
Beautiful Designs Symbolizing Liberty and Freedom
Obverse: The obverse personification of Liberty is borrowed from the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin, featuring a young woman wrapped in an American flag, walking towards the rising sun with her right hand extended in a welcoming gesture. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "2020" and "IN GOD WE TRUST." The image is credited to sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, who also created the rendition of Winged Liberty on the 1916 Mercury Dime that currently appears on the American Palladium Eagle series.
Reverse: The reverse design by John Mercanti depicts a gorgeously detailed heraldic eagle. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Mr. Mercanti was appointed 12th Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint in 2006, a position he held until his retirement in 2010.
