Why add this First Day of Issue 2020 American Silver Eagle bullion coin to your collection?
The U.S. Mint's popular American Silver Eagle series enters its milestone 35th year of production in 2020! Obverse imagery of the series is based upon the celebrated personification of Liberty created by sculptor Adolph A. Weinman for the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. This 2020 Silver Eagle bullion coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver with a diameter measuring 40.60 mm.
Patriotic American Silver Eagle Design
The obverse depicts Lady Liberty cradling a spectacular oak and laurel bouquet, posed walking towards the sunrise gracefully draped in an American flag. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "2020" and "IN GOD WE TRUST."
The reverse is adorned with a heraldic eagle clutching an olive branch and arrows, with thirteen stars above, designed by John Mercanti. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
