Artistic American Beauty
The classic obverse used on this series originated in 1916 on the Walking Liberty half dollar which was designed by Adolph A. Weinman. The resonant image is that of Lady Liberty striding confidently across the landscape. She is depicted with her arm raised as she carries branches of oak and laurel. The reverse of the coin was designed by John M. Mercanti. It features a strong and proud American Bald Eagle with wings spread as he clutches arrows and an olive branch.
Flawless PR70 DCAM FS
Proof 70 coins are flawless specimens struck specifically for collectors using polished dies and specially prepared coin blanks. The desirable Deep Cameo designation notes the desirable contrast between reflective fields and frosty design devices. This example qualified as a First Strikes coin, as it was graded within 30 days of release.
