Why purchase this perfectly graded First Day of Issue 2019-W Burnished American Silver Eagle coin?
In 2006, the U.S. Mint introduced a burnished version of its popular American Silver Eagle to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the series. Since then, with the exception of 2009 and 2010, the burnished coin (also known as uncirculated) has been annually issued. The burnished coin features a smooth satin-like finish which beautifully accents the designs by Adolph A. Weinman and John Mercanti that the series is known for. This 2019-W Burnished Silver Eagle was produced at the Mint's West Point branch, struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
Timeless Imagery of the Silver Eagle
Weinman's design for the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar is featured on the obverse. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "2019" and "IN GOD WE TRUST."
The reverse depicts a heraldic eagle design by Mercanti. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "W" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
