Why Add This MS70 2019-W Burnished Silver Eagle to Your Collection?

The American Silver Eagle has been offered annually by the U.S. Mint since 1986, but it wasn't until 2006 that the burnished version became available. Like the proof version, these coins are made specifically for collectors. The West Point branch of the U.S. Mint struck this 2019-W burnished Silver Eagle.

Powerful Patriotic Designs

The design on the obverse shows Liberty walking with one arm before her while she uses her other arm to carry oak and laurel branches. Adolph A. Weinman created this design over 100 years ago, it was originally used for the half dollar. This side is inscribed with the date, "LIBERTY," and "IN GOD WE TRUST."

The reverse features a highly symbolic design by John Mercanti. The central portion shows a bald eagle holding arrows and an olive branch with its talons. The lower portion of the design is inscribed with the silver weight and face value.

NGC MS70

The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation was selected to grade this Silver Eagle. The experts there use a grading scale with a maximum of 70. This specimen was assigned the grade of Mint State 70, which indicates it has no flaws.
