Why Make This MS70 First Day of Issue 2019-W Burnished Silver Eagle the Next Addition to Your Collection?

The American Silver Eagle has been a top choice of collectors since the series was introduced in the mid 1980s, but in 2006 more finishes were made available by the U.S. Mint. That was the first time that the burnished Silver Eagle was offered. This burnished Silver Eagle was minted for 2019 at West Point.

Symbolic American Works of Art

Liberty is shown on the obverse with a bundle of branches. She's wearing the stars and stripes as she strides across the sunny scene. While the Silver Eagle is a modern coin, this Weinman design was actually created over 100 years ago.

The reverse was designed by a modern artist, John Mercanti. Mercanti is also known for his time as Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint. This symbolic design includes a bald eagle and 13 stars.

MS70 First Day of Issue from NGC

This coin received the First Day of Issue designation from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, which indicates it was submitted on its release day. After being examined, it was assigned the grade of Mint State 70. That means this specimen is free of imperfections, even when viewed with magnification.
