Why Make This MS69 2019-W Burnished Silver Eagle the Next Addition to Your Collection?

The proof Silver Eagle is struck by the U.S. Mint just for collectors. The burnished Silver Eagle is in the same category, although its appearance is obviously different. The West Point Mint struck this 2019-W burnished Silver Eagle. The series has been going strong since its introduction in 1986, but the first burnished Silver Eagle wasn't offered until the 20th anniversary of the series.

Stunning Patriotic Icons

The design on the obverse is known as Walking Liberty. This work of art was created by Adolph A. Weinman. Liberty is depicted wearing the stars and stripes. She's carrying a bundle of oak and laurel branches while the sun shines in the background.

The design on the reverse displays a number of patriotic symbols. The stars at the top are there to represent the original 13 colonies that formed our nation. The eagle below the stars has a shield over its chest and a banner in its beak.

Certified MS69 by NGC

To have this burnished Silver Eagle graded and encapsulated, it was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. This specimen is nearly perfect and may appear flawless to the naked eye, so it received the grade of Mint State 69.
