Why Choose This MS69 Early Releases 2019-W Burnished Silver Eagle with an Exclusive Eagle Label?
The U.S. Mint offers the American Silver Eagle with several special finishes just for collectors. One of these is the burnished finish, which was introduced for the 20th anniversary of the series in 2006. The West Point branch struck this 2019-W burnished Silver Eagle.
American Symbolism on Obverse and Reverse
Adolph A. Weinman is the artist behind the design on the obverse. This piece is known as Walking Liberty and it is a collector favorite. It was even quite popular with the general public when it was in circulation on the half dollar.
Several inscriptions form a border for the design on the reverse, these include the silver weight and face value. The central portion of this Mercanti design shows a heraldic bald eagle. The group of 13 stars above it is arranged like a triangle and fits between the tips of the eagle's wings.
