The reverse, created by John Mercanti, is an adaptation of the Great Seal of the United States, depicting an eagle behind a shield gripping an olive branch and arrows. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
