Striking Woman and Child Design by Justin Kunz

Obverse: Justin Kunz's obverse design depicts a woman holding her child as she teaches him to sow seeds. "LIFE" is inscribed in script in the upper right. Other obverse inscriptions include the date, "2018," and the two statutory mottoes, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST." Justin Kunz has worked for Disney Interactive and Blizzard Entertainment. Among his other clients are Brigham Young University, Upper Deck, and LEGO.

Reverse: On the reverse is an eagle landing design by Patricia Lucas-Morris. The bird spreads its wings while clutching an olive branch. Inscriptions near the design provide the face value of the coin, "$100," and its weight, "1 OZ." The name of the issuing country, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and the face value of the coin, ".9995 PLATINUM," are inscribed along the rim. Patricia Lucas-Morris is a prolific illustrator. She has contributed designs to several American coins and illustrated children's books for Harcourt Brace and SRA/McGraw-Hill.

Nearly Perfect PF69 UC FR with Gold Star Label

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) provided the grading information for this piece on a Gold Star label. The grading company certified that the coin is in Proof 69 condition, thus indicating that it appears flawless to the naked eye. NGC further certified this piece Ultra Cameo (UC) and First Releases (FR). The UC designation means that the coin exhibits particularly sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields, while the FR certification means that the coin was submitted for grading no more than 30 days after its initial release from the mint.
