Why order this 2019-S U.S. Silver Proof Coin Set + 2019-W Lincoln Reverse Proof Cent?
The U.S Mint issues an annual Silver Proof Coin Set that is attractive to collectors for its celebration of circulated coinage. This year's edition is especially attractive because it comes with a Reverse Proof Lincoln Cent that bears the West Point Mint's "W" mint mark. Never before has a Lincoln cent borne that mint mark, and this one is one of three issued in 2019 to have it. The other coins were all struck at the San Francisco Mint and bear its "S" mint mark. The quarters, dime, and half dollar were each struck from .999 fine silver, while the other coins were struck from base metals.
Awe Inspiring America the Beautiful Design
The highlights of the set itself are the the five America the Beautiful Quarters. Parks with scenes depicted in them are Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts, American Memorial Park in the Northern Mariana Islands, War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park in Texas, and Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho. John Flanagan's portrait of President George Washington is on the obverse of each.
The Sacagawea Dollar bears a portrait of her carrying her son, Jean Baptiste, on the obverse. Its reverse pays homage to Native Americans who contributed to the US space program. Each of the other coins bears the same designs that it has in recent years.
Virtually Flawless PF69 RD FDI with Lincoln Label
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) graded the Lincoln Cent and provided grading information on a label that bears an image of the President who appears on the coin. NGC graded the piece Proof 69 Red, thus indicating that it appears perfect to the naked eye and is red. The grading company also certified the coin First Day of Issue, which indicates that it was submitted for grading within the first 30 days following its initial mint release.
