Why buy this 2019 Silver Proof U.S. Coin Set + 2019-W Reverse Proof Lincoln Cent?
The 2019 edition of the U.S Silver Proof Set comes with a numismatic first: a Lincoln Cent with a "W" mint mark. Three Lincoln Cents bearing the image have been issued for 2019, marking the first time that the prestigious mint's mark has ever appeared on the coin. The Silver Proof Set itself includes seven coins that were struck from .999 fine silver, including all five of the America the Beautiful Quarters, and a 2019-W Reverse Proof Lincoln Cent.
Breathtaking America the Beautiful Designs
The highlights of the set are the five America the Beautiful Quarters. 2019 editions include Massachusetts's Lowell National Historical Park, the Northern Mariana Islands' American Memorial Park, Guam's War in the Pacific National Historical Park, Texas's San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and Idaho's Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Each coin bears John Flanagan's 1932 portrait of President George Washington on the obverse.
Four of the other coins in the set and the W-Lincoln Cent feature their traditional designs, including Presidents on the obverse. The Sacagawea Dollar features an image of her holding her son, Jean Baptiste, on the obverse and a design that honors Native American contributions to the US space program on the reverse.
GEM Reverse Proof FR with Lincoln Label
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) graded the W-mint mark Lincoln Cent GEM Reverse Proof, meaning that it has an above average strike. They also certified it First Releases and provided this information on a label that features an image of President Lincoln. The rest of the set arrives ungraded in its original government packaging.
