Herro's Journey to the NBA

Tyler Herro was born in Greenfield, Wisconsin on January 20, 2000. Today, he is known as a standout among young NBA players. His path to the NBA was short and his future is bright. Like numerous other professional athletes, his potential was very visible during his high school years. During Herro's time at Whitnall High School he recorded over 2,000 points total. His senior season was particularly impressive, he averaged 32.9 points per game. This generated plenty of interest among college recruiters and he ultimately went to the University of Kentucky.

During Herro's freshman year at the University of Kentucky he was the only player to start in every game for the Wildcats. This was also when he set his college career record of 29 points in a single game. After the success of his freshman year with the Wildcats, Herro declared his eligibility for the NBA draft. He was a first-round pick in 2019. He was selected thirteenth overall and went to the Miami Heat. Since joining the Heat he has become the youngest player in history to start in an NBA Finals game.
