Iconic Springbok Design
The design on the obverse depicts the man that these coins are named after, Paul Kruger. Kruger was a significant figure in South African history, he was their first President.
The design on the reverse includes a detailed South African landscape and a springbok antelope. The date and silver weight are displayed on this side. The upper portion of the design is inscribed with the word "KRUGERRAND."
