Why Make This MS70 First Strike 2019 South Africa 1 oz. Silver Krugerrand the Next Addition to Your Collection?
The Gold Krugerrand was the first of the modern gold bullion coins, the series began in 1967 and these coins were only offered in gold. The South African Mint introduced a Silver Premium Uncirculated Krugerrand in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the series and they were quite popular so a bullion version followed in 2018. This 1 oz. Silver Krugerrand is made of .999 fine silver and has a brilliant uncirculated finish, it was issued for 2019.
Stunning Portrait of Kruger
The Krugerrand is named after the first President of South Africa, Paul Kruger. The obverse shows an impressively detailed portrait of Kruger. This side is inscribed with "SOUTH AFRICA" in English and Afrikaans.
The reverse depicts the national animal of South Africa, the springbok antelope. The springbok is finely detailed and is pictured against a sprawling South African landscape. The date and silver weight can also be found on this side.
