Description
Why purchase this U.S. Mint First Day of Issue 2019-S GEM Proof Coin Set with a West Point struck Lincoln Cent?
The U.S. Mint has issued its annual San Francisco minted 2019 dated ten-coin proof set with an additional proof Lincoln Cent struck at the West Point Mint. Although the Lincoln Cent has been issued since 1909, this is the very first time a “W” Mint mark has graced the coin in the lifetime of the series!
2019 Circulating U.S. Coinage Designs
The set includes ten coins with an “S” Mint mark: a Kennedy half dollar, Roosevelt dime, Jefferson nickel, Lincoln penny, and the space themed Native American $1 coin, as well as the year’s five America the Beautiful Quarters which celebrate Lowell National Historical Park, American Memorial Park, War in the Pacific National Historical Park, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and Frank Church River of No Return. The eleventh coin of the set is the 2019-W Lincoln Cent.
Breathtaking First Day of Issue GEM Proof Set with Graded 2019-W Penny
The 2019-W Proof Lincoln Cent has been individually graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) to be a virtually flawless Proof 69 Ultra Cameo Red (UC RD) and encapsulated in a labeled protective holder. The remaining ten coins of the set have been judged by NGC to be in superior GEM Proof condition and are presented in the clear display cases as issued by the Mint with the original Certificate of Authenticity. Submitted to NGC for grading within twenty-four hours of release, the set is also awarded the First Day of Issue designation.
