Why does this Enhanced Reverse Proof 2019-S American Silver Eagle coin deserve a place in your collection?
The U.S. Mint issued a dramatically finished Enhanced Reverse Proof version of its classic American Silver Eagle coin in 2019. A product of the Mint's San Francisco facility, mintage of the 2019-S American Silver Eagle Enhanced Reverse Proof coin is limited to a series' record low of only 30,000! Dethroning the previous 1995-W key date by a mere 125 coins, the 2019-S Enhanced Reverse Proof boasts the lowest mintage Silver Eagle release of the series to date.
Patriotic Silver Eagle Imagery
Lady Liberty is depicted walking on the obverse, draped in the American flag, an image adapted from the design for the U.S. half dollar coin created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "2019" and "IN GOD WE TRUST."
The reverse design by John Mercanti features a heraldic eagle with a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its clutches, accompanied by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and San Francisco's "S" Mint mark.
Exceptional Proof 69, with Black Core Holder and San Francisco Themed Label
This 2019-S American Silver Eagle Enhanced Reverse Proof coin was judged to be in virtually flawless Proof 69 condition by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). The silver dollar is presented in a stylish NGC black core holder with a colorful certification label celebrating its minting in San Francisco.
