Why purchase this perfectly struck Georgia themed 2019-S American Innovation Reverse Proof Dollar coin?
This 2019-S release of the U.S. Mint's American Innovation series is an homage to Georgia's Trustees' Garden. Established in 1734 as America's first experimental garden, specimens such as cotton plants and peach trees were observed for compatibility to Georgia's climate. A product of the San Francisco Mint, the Georgia American Innovations clad coin features a Reverse Proof finish.
Stunning Garden Imagery
A flourishing array of plants grow from the words "TRUSTEES' GARDEN" on the reverse, with the inscription "GEORGIA" curving above, and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" below. The delightful design is credited to Emily Damstra and Michael Gaudioso.
A gorgeous profile view of the Statue of Liberty adorns the obverse. The design by Justin Kunz and Phebe Hemphill includes the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "$1," as well as a gear shaped privy mark commemorating industry and innovation. Thirteen stars, "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "2019" and the Mint mark "S" are incused on the smooth edge.
