Flourishing Garden Design by Emily Damstra and Michael Gaudioso
A hand plants a seed on the reverse, as a few of the Garden's experimental crops, such as sassafras, grape, flax, peach and olive, burst from the words "TRUSTEES' GARDEN." Additional inscriptions include "GEORGIA" and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."
The obverse design created by Justin Kunz and Phebe Hemphill features an interpretation of the Statue of Liberty, with a stylized gear shaped privy mark at her side. Inscribed "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "$1." Similar to the Native American Dollar series, "E PLURIBUS UNUM," the date and Mint mark are inscribed on the smooth edge.
