The obverse is an homage to the iconic Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, which features Lady Liberty's graceful form wrapped in an American flag. "LIBERTY," "2019" and "IN GOD WE TRUST" are inscribed.
Designed by John Mercanti, the reverse depicts a bald eagle heraldically posed behind a patriotic shield, an olive branch in its right talon and arrows in its left, surrounded by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and San Francisco's "S" Mint mark.
