Why purchase this specially labeled 2019-S American Silver Eagle Enhanced Reverse Proof coin?
This 2019-S American Silver Eagle is the first release of the popular U.S. Mint series to be struck at the San Francisco Mint with a dramatic Enhanced Reverse Proof finish. Earlier in 2019, the Mint issued a Silver Eagle of the same variety, with a West Point Mint mark in the Pride of Two Nations Set. Containing 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver, this Enhanced Reverse Proof Silver Eagle is one of only 30,000 to be issued, a mintage even lower than the key date 1995-W proof! This release was a rapid sell out at the United States Mint.
Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty
The obverse depicts Lady Liberty enveloped in an American Flag, while confidently striding towards the rising sun carrying a laurel and oak bouquet. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "2019."
The reverse features an adaptation of the Great Seal of the United States created by John Mercanti. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "S."
