Why order this American 2019-S 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle?

The America Silver Eagle is the world's favorite bullion coin, and its proof counterpart is considered a 'must have' by countless collectors around the world. The stunning finish offers an alternative way to appreciate its iconic designs. Like its bullion counterpart, this coin was struck on a 1 oz planchet of .999 fine silver. Unlike the bullion coin, it has a mint mark, the "S" of the San Francisco Mint.

Highly Acclaimed Walking Liberty Design by Adolph Weinman

This coin's obverse features the famous Walking Liberty design of Adolph Weinman. Taken from the half dollar that the giant of American numismatics designed, it features Liberty carrying laurel and oak branches, symbols of civilian and military honors. She is draped in an American flag and has a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom from slavery, on her head. She extends her right hand in front of her above the rising sun, as if presenting the new day to the holder.

On the reverse is John Mercanti's adaptation of the Great Seal of the United States. Three sets of rim inscriptions, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR," frame the image. An eagle protects a union shield under thirteen stars. The stars are arranged in a triangular formation and represent the original states. The bird holds a ribbon that bears the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (From many, one) in its beak and clutches arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The olive branch indicates that the nation would prefer peace, while the arrows remind all that it is nevertheless ready for war.

Exquisite PF70 UC FDI with Black Core Holder

This coin received Numismatic Guaranty Corporation's (NGC's) highest grade, Proof 70, which means that it lacks any imperfections that are visible under 5x magnification. It also earned Ultra Cameo certification, which indicates that its heavily frosted devices contrast sharply with its deeply mirrored fields, and First Day of Issue certification, which is reserved for coins that were submitted through an exclusive process. This piece has been set in a black core holder.
