Why order this $2 Australia 2019-P Figure Eight Shaped 2 oz Silver Antiqued Koi Fish?
Collectors with an interest in Chinese culture are sure to adore this Figure 8 shaped coin from the Perth Mint. The coin's shape, like its 3,888 piece mintage, celebrates the number 8's status as lucky in Chinese culture. The koi fish in the design represent determination, as they swim upstream. Each piece in this mintage was struck from 2 oz. of .9999 fine silver at the Perth Mint, which is represented by its iconic "P" mint mark. Each coin in this mintage is unique thanks to the antique finish, which was done individually by hand. The coin remains in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition and comes in its original mint packaging, which includes a certificate of authenticity.
Exquisite Koi Fish Design by Ing Ing Jong
At the center of the obverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. The effigy is joined on this face by several inscriptions along the rim. They include her name, "ELIZABETH II," and "AUSTRALIA" on the top half, and "2 OZ 9999 AG," "2019," and "2 DOLLARS" on the bottom half.
Ing Ing Jong designed the reverse, where two koi fish swim upstream with their mouths open. The ornate design also includes a lotus flower.

There are, however, a few very unique coins struck by various Mints around the world that break these conformities. From domed coins to volcano shaped coins, you will be surprised the examples ModernCoinMart has to offer!
