The reverse illustrates a single kookaburra perched on a tree branch within a gently rippling waterway, with marsh foliage and the sun setting in the background. The image is framed by a border containing the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA," "2019 1OZ 9999 SILVER" and Perth Mint's "P" Mint mark.
The inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA" and "1 DOLLAR" surround the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, representing the first release of the series to feature Royal Mint Designer Jody Clark's portrait of the queen.
