Stunning Kookaburra Design by Aleysha Howarth
The obverse bears a right-side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, whose shoulders are open toward the holder. The Royal Diamond Diadem, the crown that the monarch wears to the annual State Opening of Parliament, sits on her head. Her name, "ELIZABETH II," is inscribed on the rim frame, while also bears the inscription "AUSTRALIA" and "1 DOLLAR."
Aleysha Howarth's reverse design features a closeup view of a kookaburra perched on a branch that is mostly submerged, this design is rendered in vivid color. The sun sets in the distance, creating a beautiful array of colors that are reflected in the water and that contrast beautifully with the green of a young tree that is on the right. "AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA" arches over the image, while "2019 1 OZ 9999 SILVER" is inscribed at the bottom.
