Why add this 1/4 oz Gold 2019-P $25 Australia Kangaroo to your collection?
This quarter ounce Gold Kangaroo provides collectors with a happy medium between a larger surface area than a tenth ounce version and a more affordable price between the half ounce and full ounce issues. The coin comes from the Perth Mint, which is world renowned for its stunning designs and outstanding production quality. It bears that mint's iconic "P" mint mark on the reverse. The coin, which was struck from 1/4 oz. of .9999 fine gold, is in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition, just as it was when it was first struck.
Striking Red Kangaroo Design
The obverse bears a new effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. The portrait replaces Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of her, which was used from 1998-2018. The new portrait goes down to her shoulders, which are open to the holder. She faces the right side of the coin. On her head is the Royal Diamond Diadem that she wore at her coronation. Her name, "ELIZABETH II," is one of three inscriptions along the rim. "AUSTRALIA" and "25 DOLLARS" are the other two.
The reverse features a new red kangaroo design. The animal is rendered accurately in stunning detail as it bends forward. Its long, powerful tail extends beyond the edge of the coin. The artistic background consists of two trees that follow the curve of the rim frame and the Australian sun beating down from a clear sky. The name of the coin, "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO," arches over the image, while the coin's date, weight, and purity, "2019 1/4 OZ 9999 GOLD," are included along the rim at the bottom.
