Symbolic American Legion Designs on Obverse and Reverse
The obverse of this silver dollar features a finely detailed design by Paul C. Balan. It shows the emblem of the American Legion at the center. There are oak branches to the left and a lily to the right.
The face value and Mint mark are on the reverse. This side also shows the 100th anniversary dates "1919" and "2019." At the center of the design, the United States flag and the American Legion flag can be seen together.
NGC MS69 First Releases
The First Releases designation is only available for coins that are submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) within 30 days of their release date. After this specimen was examined by their experts, it received the grade of Mint State 69 for its nearly perfect condition.
