2019 Native American Dollar Set
The coin obverse features the portrait of Sacagawea created by sculptor Glenna Goodacre. Inscribed "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," with "2019," "P" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on the edge. A collage of space themed imagery adorns the reverse: an astronaut, an Agena spacecraft and Native American engineer Mary Golda Ross (Cherokee), who helped develop the craft for the Gemini and Apollo Programs. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "$1" complement the design by Emily Damstra and Joseph Menna.
The serial number of the series 2017 one dollar Federal Reserve banknote begins with "1959," the launch year of the Agena spacecraft illustrated on the coin.
