Why add this 2019 U.S. $1 Coin and Currency Set to your collection?
This exciting set features a series 2017 one dollar Federal Reserve banknote and one 2019-P Native American Dollar Coin, which was specially struck at the Philadelphia Mint exclusively for the set with a magnificent enhanced uncirculated finish. Set mintage is limited to 50,000.
Space Themed U.S. Dollar Set
The coin obverse features a portrait of Sacagawea, designed by sculptor Glenna Goodacre. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," with "2019," "P" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on the edge. The space themed reverse designed by Emily Damstra and Joseph Menna illustrates Cherokee engineer Mary Golda Ross diligently at work in the foreground, with the Agena spacecraft she helped develop in the background. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "$1."
In recognition of the first launch date of the Agena spacecraft, the serial number on the one dollar banknote begins with the numbers "1959."
Perfect Specimen 70 Dollar Coin
The dollar coin and banknote were submitted to Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and Paper Money Guaranty (PMG) for review within thirty days of the set's July 24, 2019 release date, qualifying for the Early Releases designation. For its perfect strike and flawless surfaces, NGC awarded the enhanced uncirculated 2019-P Native American $1 coin the grade of Specimen 70. The banknote earned the nearly perfect grade of 67 from PMG. The coin and banknote are sealed in labeled protective holders.
