Brown's Rise to the NBA

Jaylen Brown was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 24, 1996. As you can imagine, his tremendous athletic potential became visible at a young age. He was an excellent basketball player before, but his senior year of high school was really a breakout season for him. In addition to numerous top honors, Brown kept his points per game average at 28. With titles and awards piling up and high stat averages, there was plenty of interest from college recruiters. Most ranking services marked him as a five-star prospect.

Jaylen Brown eventually decided on University of California, Berkeley. While he was a strong player at the college level, his career with the Golden Bears was short-lived. Brown stayed for the 2015-2016 season and then opted for the 2016 NBA draft. He was selected in the first round with the third pick overall by the Boston Celtics.
