Adorable Peter Rabbit Design by Emma Noble
The obverse bears Jody Clark's right-side effigy of reigning British monarch Queen Elizabeth II. She dons her Royal Diamond Diadem, which she wore at her coronation. Her name, "ELIZABETH II," and abbreviated Latin title, "D G REG F D" (By the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith) join the coin's face value, "50 PENCE," and the date, "2019," on the rim.
Emma Noble engraved the reverse design, modeling it off of an original illustration by Beatrix Potter. It features Peter Rabbit wearing his trademark jacket looking curiously in the direction of the holder. The character's name, "PETER RABBIT," is inscribed along the rim.
