This coin is part of a mintage of just 10,000 pieces, which are available exclusively from MCM.
Powerful Eagle Designs by Joel Iskowitz
Joel Iskowitz, who once worked as a U.S Mint designer, created the images that appear on both faces of this coin. On the obverse, an eagle looks left. The gilt design offers a closeup look at the majestic bird. To the left is the coat of arms of Fiji, which is not gilt. Inscriptions at the top read, "FIJI" and "2019."
On the reverse, an eagle swoops down toward its prey. Its spread wings balance its descent, while its claws stretch forward, prepared to snatch its next meal. The design is gilt, as is the inscription along the rim at the top, "ONE DOLLAR." An inscription in the lower right offers the coin's purity and weight, reading, ".999 AG 1 OZ."
