Minted for issue by Niue from 5 grams of .999 fine silver, the partially colorized note features a scene from the Hugo Award winning episode titled "The Inner Light," which aired in 1992.
Vividly Colorized Star Trek Design
The reverse features an imposing full color portrait of the Captain, with "STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION" inscribed above. The engraved background depicts Picard playing his Kataan flute, with the note's unique serial number among the 10,000 piece mintage located below.
Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is centered on the obverse. Inscribed "ELIZABETH II" and "NIUE," with "ONE DOLLAR," "5g AG. 999" and "2019" in the corners.
