Chinese Show Pandas have become top targets of many collectors throughout the world in recent years. This medal was issued for the 48th annual Berlin World Money Fair. It is part of a mintage of just 300 pieces, and was struck from 50 g of .999 fine silver at the Shenzhen Guobao Mint.
Stunning Chinese Panda and Berlin Bear Design
The obverse features Berlin Bode Museum, which is situated on Museum Island. It stands under the World Money Fair logo. The piece's individual number is inscribed at the lower left of the building, while "WORLD MONEY FAIR BERLIN" and "2019" are inscribed at the bottom. Chinese characters along the rim arch over the museum.
The reverse features an image of the Coin of the Year Trophy between a Berlin Bear and a Chinese Panda. The two animals are depicted in stunning detail. Arching over the image is the inscription "COIN OF THE YEAR BERLIN SPECIAL EXHIBIT," and an inscription in Chinese characters spreads throughout the bottom half of the rim.

This medal received Numismatic Guaranty Corporation's (NGC's) highest grade, Proof 70 (PF70), which is given exclusively to pieces that are in perfect condition as seen under 5x magnification. It was also certified Ultra Cameo (UC) on account of its sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields, as well as First Day of Issue (FDI), which means that it was submitted for grading through an exclusive process.
