Why buy this 2019 ¥10 Chinese 30 g Silver Panda?
Since 2016, Chinese Pandas have been the only world bullion coins issued in metric units rather than imperial ones. This has only added novelty to the already tremendous allure of the series, which has long been loved for its one-year only designs. It was struck by the China Mint from 30 g of .999 fine silver. This year's design makes the coin especially appealing as a gift from mothers to their children or vice-versa.
Heart Warming Mother and Baby Panda Design
The traditional obverse design, the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in Beijing's Temple of Heaven, returns yet again. Steps rise from the holder to the circular, leveled building that serves as an example of traditional Chinese architecture. Chinese characters that translate to "People's Republic of China" are inscribed on the rim frame above the building, while the date, "2019," is inscribed below it.
The reverse features a moving image of a mother panda holding her cub. The mother and baby look at each other lovingly, the mother protecting her cub and the cub looking completely secure. Mountains rise in the background. The coin's face value is inscribed on those mountains, while its weight and purity, "30 G AG .999," are inscribed above them.
Virtually Flawless MS69 FR with Temple Label
This coin's grading information comes on a label that features an image of a Chinese temple. That grading information, which, like the label, is provided by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), includes a Mint State 69 grade. That grade is reserved for coins that are essentially perfect as seen by the unaided eye. It also includes First Releases certification, which indicates that a coin was received for grading no more than 30 days after its initial mint release.
