The reverse, by Canadian artist Aries Cheung, features a pig adorned with a whimsical curling line pattern standing below a stylized storm cloud, which is an auspicious symbol for good luck and fortune. Inscribed "CANADA 2019," "15 DOLLARS" and the Chinese character for "Pig."
The likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse, as created by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt, framed by the inscription "ELIZABETH II" and "D. G. REGINA."
