Exquisite Lesser Bilby Design
Queen Elizabeth II’s right-side portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, which has featured on Australian coinage for decades, serves as the obverse design. The monarch wears a tiara and earrings. Her name, “ELIZABETH II,” is inscribed along the rim. Also on the rim are the coin’s country, “AUSTRALIA,” date, “2019,” and face value, “5 DOLLARS.”
The reverse features a Lesser Bibly on the floor of the desert. The creature has long ears and a long, thin tail. Its name, “LESSER BILBY,” is inscribed o n the rim at the bottom.
