Why add this 2019 1/10 oz. Gold American Eagle coin to your collection?
The U.S. Mint introduced the American Gold Eagle series in 1986. Obverse imagery of the coin re-imagines a design from the beginning of the 20th century, featuring the Lady Liberty portrait which was created as a collaborative effort between sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens and President Theodore Roosevelt for the $20 Gold Double Eagle in 1907. The enduring design is common to all four denominations of the Gold Eagle series. This 16.51 mm diameter 2019 Gold Eagle bullion coin is struck from 1/10 Troy oz. of .9167 fine gold.
Classic Personification of Liberty
Encircled by a fifty star border, Lady Liberty is featured on the obverse gracefully striding forward, carrying an olive branch and a torch aflame, with the rising sun's rays in her wake. "LIBERTY" curves above, "2019" is inscribed beneath the olive branch.
The reverse features a design by Miley Busiek, illustrating a beautifully detailed nesting eagle family with a male eagle in flight overhead clutching an olive branch in its talons.
Stunning GEM Brilliant Uncirculated Gold Coin
This 2019 1/10 oz. Gold American Eagle bullion coin is ungraded, deemed to be in Brilliant Uncirculated (GEM BU) condition. The $5 gold coin will possess qualities similar to a coin receiving a grade of 65 or higher on the Sheldon Scale: a superb strike, nearly perfect surfaces and outstanding eye appeal.
