Why Order This PF70 UC First Releases 2018-W Proof Silver Eagle 2 Coin Set with Mercanti and Jones-Signature Labels?

In 1986 the very first American Silver Eagle coins were struck by the U.S. Mint. They are a popular choice among collectors. This 2018-W Silver Eagle has a proof finish. It was struck at the West Point Mint and has the same silver content as other coins of the series.

Exquisite Obverse by Weinman

While the Silver Eagle is a modern coin, the obverse actually features a classic design. This work of art is known as Walking Liberty, it was created by Adolph A. Weinman. The date is at the bottom of the design below Liberty's feet.

The detailed design on the reverse was created by John Mercanti. The upper portion shows 13 stars and just below them there is a bald eagle.

PF70 UC First Releases with Mercanti and Jones Signature Labels

Both of these proof Silver Eagles were graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). They each received the grade of Proof 70 (PF70) as well as the Ultra Cameo (UC) and First Releases designations. Both of them have signed labels. One was signed by Elizabeth Jones and the other was signed by John Mercanti. Jones and Mercanti have both served as Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint.
