Why purchase this perfectly struck Burnished 2018-W American Silver Eagle coin?
The burnished version of the American Silver Eagle was added to the U.S. Mint's popular silver bullion series in 2006 to mark the coin's 20th year of release. This 40.6 mm diameter 2018-W Burnished American Silver Eagle was struck at the West Point Mint from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
Gorgeous Silver Eagle Designs
The obverse features a replication of the early 20th century image of Lady Liberty as envisioned by Adolph A. Weinman for the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. Liberty is posed walking with the American flag gracefully draped around her, accompanied by the inscriptions "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "2018."
A heraldic eagle behind a striped shield is depicted on the reverse, with thirteen stars above. The design by John Mercanti includes the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "W" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
