Why purchase this American 2018-W Burnished Silver Eagle
Collectors who like low mintage coins and classic American designs are sure to love this 2018-W Burnished Silver Eagle. The coin is part of the latest issue in a series that began in 2006. It was struck on a specially burnished .999 fine silver blank and has a stunning satin finish. The "W" Mint mark of the West Point Mint is in the lower left of the reverse.
Historic Walking Liberty Design by Adolph Weinman
Both faces of this coin share the designs of the bullion Silver Eagle. On the obverse is Adolph Weinman's Walking Liberty design, which depicts Liberty draped in an American flag carrying laurel and oak branches. She extends her right hand in front of her, greeting the emerging morning sun.
John Mercanti's reverse design is based on the Great Seal of the United States. It consists of thirteen stars above an eagle, which clutches arrows and an olive branch.
Flawless MS70 ER with Mercanti Signed Label
John Mercanti, the former Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint, signed the label on which Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) provided this coin's grading information. That information includes a perfect grade of Mint State 70, which is reserved for coins that are flawless as seen under 5x magnification, and Early Releases certification, which means that NGC received it for grading not more than 30 days after its initial release.
