Why purchase this ZI:SIN 2018 South Korean Canis Silver Medal
This 2018 Canis Silver Medal is the second issue in South Korea's new ZI:SIN Series and offers you the opportunity to start a collection of a new and unique series. The series features creatures that are akin to the Chinese zodiac. Part of a mintage of just 33,000 pieces, this medal was struck from one ounce of .999 fine silver by Korea Minting, Security Printing and. ID Card Operating Corporation (KOMSCO).
Unique Canis Design
Do ggae bi serves as the obverse design. The ugly creature is akin to a hob-goblin of Western culture. It is often hung on roof tiles as a means of warding off evil spirits. There are several inscriptions on this face, including the unique face value that KOMSCO uses, "1 CLAY."
Canis, a loyal guardian and leader, is on the reverse. The creature has a human form but, like his counterparts, has an animal helmet, in his case, a dog. "ZI:SIN CANIS" is inscribed along the rim.
Impeccable MS70 FR with South Korea Label
This medal earned Numismatic Guaranty Corporation's (NGC's) highest grade, Mint State 70, which is reserved for pieces that appear perfect even under 5x magnification. It was also labeled First Releases, meaning that it was received for grading no more than 30 days after its initial release. Grading information is provided on a South Korea label, which includes the country's flag.
