In a second-ever release from the renowned South African Mint, they have released a Gem BU Silver Krugerrand! As a direct result of this limited availability and collectability, the coins sold out rapidly from the Mint.
Stunning designs from 1967
Back in 1967, the designs of the now-renowned international gold bullion the Gold Krugerrand were first struck. Now in 2018, the South African Mint issued these 1 oz. .999 fine silver Gem Brilliant Uncirculated coins with enhanced designs created from the original, 1967 dies!
The obverse of these Silver Krugerrands depicts an image of Paul Kruger, famous president of the African province of Zar (now South Africa). Around the portrait are the inscriptions “SUID-AFRIKA” and “SOUTH AFRICA.”
The iconic springbok design takes up the reverse. The antelope prances forward, a detailed scene of the South African countryside in the background. The inscriptions “KRUGERRAND,” “2018” and “FYNSILWER 1 OZ FINE SILVER R1” encircle the design.
South African Mint Issue!
This coin comes to you fresh from the Mint, in untouched, GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Coins in this condition would grade at least Mint State 65 if submitted to a third party coin grading service, but they could certainly be in much higher condition.
