Why buy this 2018-S Proof Silver American Eagle

This 2018-S Silver American Eagle Proof is a great way to diversify a collection of Silver Eagles. The coin was struck from 1 oz. of .999 fine silver. The San Francisco Mint's "S" mint mark distinguishes this coin from its West Point counterpart.

Iconic Walking Liberty Design by Adolph Weinman

Adolph Weinman's classic Walking Liberty design, which appeared on the half dollar from 1916-1947, is on the obverse. Liberty carries branches of laurel and oak, which have long been symbols of civilian and military honors, respectively. To the left, the morning sun emerges from beyond the horizon.

An eagle guards a union shield on John Mercanti's reverse. The eagle spreads its wings to the side and clutches arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other. It also has a ribbon with the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in its beak. Thirteen stars above the bird's head represent the original states.

Impeccable PF70 UC FR
