Why buy this Proof 2018-S American Silver Eagle

This Silver Eagle Proof is a great choice for collectors who love the Silver Eagle Series and who love pieces from the San Francisco Mint. The coin bears that mint's "S" mint mark on the reverse. It was struck there on a one ounce planchet of the same purity, .999, as its bullion counterpart.

Exquisite Walking Liberty Design by Adolph Weinman

The obverse was taken from Adolph Weinman's Walking Liberty half dollar, which was minted from 1916-1947. Liberty carries branches of laurel and oak, traditional symbols of honors bestowed upon civilians and members of the military, respectively, as she strides confidently to the left side of the coin. She extends her right hand in front of her above the sun, which is emerging from beyond the horizon.

The Great Seal of the United States was the inspiration of John Mercanti's reverse. Thirteen stars are arranged above an eagle, which protects a union shield.

Flawless PF70 UC ER with Silver Foil Label

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) gave this coin a Proof 70 grade, which is reserved for coins that are perfect as seen under 5x magnification. NGC also gave the coin credit for having sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields by labeling it Ultra Cameo. This information, as well as their Early Releases certification, are provided on a silver foil label.
