Why choose this American 2018-S Proof Silver Eagle?

This 2018-S Silver Eagle Proof is one of just a handful of coins in the series to bear the "S" mint mark of the San Francisco Mint since the production of proofs in the series moved to Philadelphia in 1993. That makes it a prime choice for collectors of the series. Like other coins in the series, it was struck on a one ounce, .999 fine silver planchet.

Stunning Walking Liberty Design by Adolph Weinman

Adolph Weinman designed the Walking Liberty half dollar from which this coin's obverse was taken. In the foreground, Liberty carries branches in her left hand and extends her right in front of her. She is draped in the American flag. In the distance, the morning sun emerges from beyond the horizon.

The reverse design was the creation of John Mercanti. An eagle spreads its wings as it guards a union shield. It holds arrows, symbols of military readiness, in one talon and an olive branch, a symbol of peace, in the other. Thirteen stars are arranged above its head.

Impeccable PF70 UC ER with Black Core Holder

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) certified that this coin is in perfect condition even as seen under 5x magnification by awarding it their highest grade, Proof 70. NGC also awarded the coin Ultra Cameo and Early Releases certifications and set the coin in a sleek black core holder.
