Why Make This PF69 UC 2018-S Proof Silver Eagle with a Black Core Slab the Next Addition to Your Collection?

The American Silver Eagle is incredibly popular with both collectors and stackers. This U.S. Mint series was introduced in 1986 and these coins have been struck annually since then. The proof Silver Eagle shown here was minted in San Francisco in 2018. It has the same silver content as the standard bullion version.

Classic Liberty Obverse by Weinman

The obverse of this coin features a design that was originally created for the half dollar, Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty. She can be seen carrying a bundle of branches as she strides across the sunny scene.

The reverse displays a design by retired Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint John Mercanti. It shows a heraldic bald eagle with arrows and an olive branch. There are 13 stars just above it that symbolize the original colonies.

PF69 UC with a Black Core Holder

When this coin was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, it was found to be almost perfect. That's why it was assigned the grade of Proof 69. Since it has excellent visual contrast, it was also given the Ultra Cameo designation. Now this specimen is housed in a classy black core slab.
