It also qualified for the coveted Early Releases (ER) designation. This is the most recent issue in the popular Rwandan Silver Wildlife. The series was introduced in 2008. Each coin contains 1 oz. of .999 pure silver. The series is struck by Germany's Mayer Mint through an arrangement with the Republic of Rwanda. The final mintage of this issue has not yet been set.

Stunning Giraffe Design

The obverse of the coin features the stunning image of an African giraffe mother and her calf. To the right of the giraffes the continent of Africa appears. The inscriptions "African Ounce," "2018" and "1 oz Fine Silver 999." The reverse of the coin features the 50 Franc face value and the official seal of the Republic of Rwanda.
